Why Sustainability?

Sustainability can be defined as "meeting our needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs." The world is a system consisting of four interconnected elements: Environment, Economy, Society, and the interaction between them. When poverty prevails, there is no concern for the environment. During social crises or economic instability, there is no room for thinking about the future. Therefore, sustainability is not only about natural resources but also involves social equity and economic development.
